A little transparency

Understand how your work
and information are handled.

The reflection stays with you.

The questionnaire and recommendation run in your browser. Your answers are saved in this tab’s session storage so you can revisit them, and are sent to the directory only if you choose to register. A standard download requires no email, account or registration.

What registration shares.

A registered page contains your uploaded artwork image, title, chosen name, declared scope, selected seal, all seven original answers, a standardized process summary and your good-faith confirmation and any statement, website link or public contact email you submit. Registration is optional. Directory entries, images, answers and linked downloads are public.

Artwork is resized in your browser without cropping and converted to a display image, removing original image metadata. Statements are displayed as submitted, without rewriting. Please do not include confidential details.

Private email verification.

Verification uses an address only to send a one-use link. We do not save that address in the directory database, publish it, or add it to a mailing list. Pending links expire after 24 hours; the site stores a token hash and expiry, then the verification status and date after confirmation. Verification emails are not used for promotion.

“Email verified” confirms access to an email address, not identity or creative-process accuracy. It does not verify an optional public contact address. A linked colored seal omits CD only for a complete directory entry with a verified email; removing CD does not change its creator-declared status or indicate independent review.

Email delivery involves a separate provider. Verification emails are sent using Resend, whose standard policy retains email and log data for 30 days on its Free, Pro and Scale plans. Read Resend’s retention policy ↗. The hosting platform and recipient’s mail provider may also process delivery and operational data.

Your optional public contact email.

You may separately choose an email address for the personal section of your directory entry. Unlike the private verification address, this public contact address is stored and displayed so visitors can contact you. It is never copied automatically from verification. Remove it at any time using your private edit key.

Your private edit key.

You receive a private key when a work is registered. Save it securely: it is the authorization to edit or withdraw that record. The database stores a hash, not the key itself. The key may remain in your tab’s session storage for convenience. It is never displayed on public work pages, and there is no email recovery.

Corrections and withdrawal.

The edit page lets you correct your details, answers, statement or seal. Withdrawing removes the work from discovery, removes its image, and disables seal and QR downloads. A minimal withdrawn notice remains at the record URL so existing links have an honest destination.

Keeping the first version dependable.

We limit repeated submissions using short-lived hashed network identifiers or signed-in identifiers supplied by the hosting platform. We do not add advertising trackers or sell the details submitted through this site. The hosting platform may keep its own security and operational logs.
