A first look at Gold
Gold adds independent review
to your chosen seal.
Only an officially issued Gold seal indicates independent review of the identified work and claim. Gold is not a sixth classification, a higher level of creativity or an award for artistic merit.
Gold applications are not open yet, and no Gold seals are being issued. We’ll publish the steps here when independent review becomes available.
The five seals in deep gold.
These are unissued Gold previews, not awarded seals or evidence that any work has been reviewed.
What the program will mean.
The application and review are free. Applications will be handled first come, first served, according to available review capacity, without a guaranteed turnaround or paid fast track.
Only after a successful independent review and official issuance may the identified work and claim carry a Gold seal. Its linked directory entry will identify the reviewed scope and status in readable text. A preview, application or place in the queue is not approval.
Review should be accessible and proportionate.
Review may ask for information relevant to the specific process claim. Reasonable explanations, alternative records and redactions should be accepted. It should not require expensive recording equipment or disclosure of confidential source material.
What Gold does and does not cover
Gold concerns the scoped process declaration. It does not guarantee quality, safety, accuracy, legality, originality or rights ownership. All colored seals are creator-declared. Only issued Gold seals indicate independent review. Standard seals remain free without registration or email, whether or not they display CD. Removing CD reflects a complete directory entry with a verified email, not independent review.
